I would sincerely appreciate it if you would PLEASE stop stealing toys! The amount of time and effort I'm having to use to open my children's Christmas toys is BEYOND RIDICULOUS !!!! Signed one very annoyed mom with three broke fingernails.

Please tell me I'm not the only one that thinks its is crazy the amount of ties,tape,screws and plastic that you have to remove just to get the dang toy out of its box!

I stabbed myself with scissors opening toys. It's crazy.

YES! Not only did I get a gnarly paper cut and break nearly all of my nails, but our entire back stoop is covered in boxes of cardboard, waiting for recycling day to not fall on a holiday.

We went through the same thing here. Once upon a time you simply opened the package and pulled the toy out. How these people steal large toys is beyond me anyway...where do they put them?

Drives me nuts. I have two full garbage bags full if just packaging. Not to mention they have to raise the prices to cover the labor and cost to package them!

Yep. The first thing I grab christmas morning(as well as birthdays) is my pocket knife. Ridiculous.

The last few years I have actually unpackaged (is that word?) everything before I wrapped it, to avoid cranky kids waiting while Mom stabs herself with a pocket knife in an attempt to undo packaging. Makes Christmas morning much more relaxing, I can sip on a coffee and watch them unwrap and instantly enjoy things! (Until they open a gift from someone else that is...)

I did this with the two toys we bought her and my mom did as well. Was so nice! My inlaws gave in packaging and it was a little frustrating trying to get them out of boxes while my not yet one year old was so excited she was trying to play with them at the same time. I think I will unpackage most things every year before wrapping.
