It's been so long since I meal planned but I'm going to try to get back to it. We go to the grocery store almost every day. Seriously. It's so bad. The only way I can think of to force us to stop is to meal plan.
You'll see a big problem with my plan is that I eat alone most of the time, so a LOT of leftover food. Not very fun. I would like to work up to planning a month at a time, but baby steps. Here's my plan for the next week. Day - lunch - dinner W: cold sandwiches - Greek chicken pitas with tatziki T: Greek chicken leftovers - ravioli F: ravioli leftovers - tuna casserole S: grilled cheese and tomato soup - French dip au jus S: sloppy Joe - spaghetti M: Apple slices & salad - buffalo pork lettuce wraps T: spaghetti leftovers - sloppy Joe leftovers Your turn!

I am too lazy to go get mine right now, I'll try to remember it. Lunches are all salad or homemade soups (roasted carrot and cabbage)this week.
one night out Crockpot Hobo stew polenta pizzas turkey (bought a couple while they were on sale and put them in the freezer), roasted veggies turkey pot pie Chicken in baked beans with sweet potato fries hmm, whats left...oh a big mixed salad topped avocado and hard boiled eggs.

I haven't finalized the next week's list yet. I usually do planning and shopping on Tuesdays, but with holidays the last two weeks, I'm way off my schedule.
Today: I'll be working at dinner time. Leftovers for DH and the boys. Tomorrow: I'll be working at dinner time again. If there's enough leftovers, they'll eat that again, otherwise they'll have a meal from the freezer (homemade). Friday: Black bean and corn tacos or enchiladas Saturday: hamburgers, oven fries and some sort of veggies Sunday: haven't decided yet. It will be something vegetarian. We've been eating a lot of meat lately. Possibly homemade pizza or BFD (breakfast for dinner) Monday: again, I'll be working late, so DH and the boys will probably have something from the freezer. ETA: I don't ever plan lunches unless its some sort of special event. Lunches here are generally leftovers, a quick pasta dish, sandwiches, or "snack plates" (meat, cheese, crackers, veggie and fruit pieces, etc).

Re: Let me see your meal plan
I plan out 2 weeks of meals in advance, but pick out what I want the night before/that morning and thaw.
Tonight we had loaded potato soup, making enough for 3 freezer meals plus tonight's meal. Also on the meal plan until next grocery day: Creole dump chicken spaghetti and meatballs sweet chili salmon chipotle chicken burritos salsa pork and potatoes sweet and spicy grilled cheese and bacon sandwiches I go grocery shopping every other Thursday and we do a Costco and GFS trip once a month. Lunches are usually cold sandwiches or leftovers. DH is in charge of cooking dinner the nights I work.

Re: Let me see your meal plan
heres mine for january. i plan a list of meals, but dont pick the days, then just pick what i want as i want it. I dont plan the full month though, to take account leftovers, or eating out, or whatever. lunches are at daycare, or leftovers, sandwiches, etc on the weekends, and breakfasts are something easy to snack before work (granola bar, yogurt, etc), or bacon & eggs, pancakes, etc., depending on what time i have to be to work. i also dont plan the veggie, we just pick something. "tv dinners" are on fridays, my son gets a crappy junky tv dinner, sometimes i have one too, sometimes i have leftovers, and we get a red box movie and sleep on the couch bed

Re: Let me see your meal plan
If DH works tonight, I will sit down and plan mine out tonight, if I work, I'll do it tomorrow during naptime.
