Re: Help me use up plain yogurt..
Mama, try to use plain yogurt on clear chicken broth to make it creamy. Or make a creamy cheese dip by mixing plain yogurt on cream cheese.

Re: Help me use up plain yogurt..
I would add some honey and/or fruit (jam) and let the kids eat it. Use it in baking that calls for sour cream.

Do you have a chip dip packet in the back of the cabinet?
I make dip and cut up veggies when I have too much yogurt.Of course, kids eat that stuff with a touch of honey in it.

Re: Help me use up plain yogurt..
We always buy plain yogurt. Then we can flavor and sweeten it as desired (with honey, fruit, jam, etc). We also use it in place of sour cream (like for taco salad), in smoothies, and to make pancakes. I don't care for it plain, either, but we always find uses for it.

Re: Help me use up plain yogurt..
Mix 32 oz yogurt with a can of thawed OJ concentrate and 1/4 cup raw honey. Blend well and pour into popsicle molds. You could still do this just fine with 1/2 cup yogurt missing.

Re: Help me use up plain yogurt..
We no longer do dairy, but when we did, I liked to use yogurt as the liquid in my breads & baking.

Re: Help me use up plain yogurt..
Do you have dogs? Yogurt is good for dogs.
I also LOVE this site and use it for ideas all the time. You put in what ingredients you have and it pulls recipes from all over the net. http://www.supercook.com/

Re: Help me use up plain yogurt..
You could make Indian raita (used usually with Pulao, but my kids like to eat it up by itself)
Finely dice 1 Onion, 1 tomato and 1 cucumber. Mix it up with yogurt-how much ever you want. Add salt and pepper. Mix and snack is ready.
