What toys can go in the dishwasher?

I'm required for my home daycare to sanitize toys every two weeks. Which toys can I put in the dishwasher in mesh bags? I have a lot of wood melissa and doug toys, can they go in or will the paint come off or is it more likely to come off in a soak in the tub with a little bleach? What about the Schelich animals? I have a ton of those and I don't want to ruin them. I suppose all the fisher price little people toys are ok in the dishwasher and other hard plastics. What about wooden train sets and dinky cars?

I would not put metal or wooden toys in the dishwasher. I would use a cloth with bleach and water. Add solution to cloth and wipe each toy.
