Diaper Swappers

I'm weaning my almost 13month old due to severe thrush issues and I haven't nursed since Tues AM and haven't pumped since Wed PM. I wasn't full until Fri PM and have just been hand expressing in the shower but that's not helping much. I always heard Sudafed wasn't good for BFing because it dries up your milk. If I take it now will it help prevent engorgement and Mastitis?? I'm starting to feel pain and don't want to pump and start all over again with producing more milk.
Any advice??

I don't have any experience but my aunt had gotten hives and she was taking benedryl and it dried her up.

Eta: I've used sudafed while nursing and nothing happened. I believe sudafed is one of the safe ones to take while nursing

Well I caved and ended up pumping 8oz this morning because I was in too much pain but I may take Benadryl tonight and see if that helps any.

When I was weaning I used cabbage leaves to help with the pain and engorgement. Ibuprofen was really great too. I didn't get mastitis or anything and it took about a week for the milk to totally dry up. It was terrible but it passed.
