My hubs is the same way: "Um, okay, tell me again why you have to fold it a different way? What was wrong with the way you've been folding it?" lol A couple times I'll be trying to do a fold from memory and I'll get to the end and just be totally scratching my head trying to remember what the name of the fold even was and what exactly went wrong during the folding process to make it look so wonky. Meanwhile, Mr. Chunk is crawling off diaperless at super speed giggling because he knows I'm distracted and will have to come after him.

You gals are doing great! I lost my steam pretty quickly lol but have been using flats half the time. I wish I had really big ones to do more folds with. Mine and our receiving blankets are so small. Then you don't get as many layers so they don't last long at all. I cannot wait for the Flip Day Time Insert to come out. That is my dream flat...it looks so wonderful!

THinking about the measurements and how it would work. I wish they would hurry up and release it!Meanwhile broke out the receiving blankets to try padfolding with them. No crinkly edges which I love. Last LO was really sensitive to flannel so Im seeing if this baby is too.

Re: Another old skool challenge?
We're still going- yay us! I just started diaper wash and I'm stalking my mailbox waiting for my new fluff to come.
My 2 yo old has been taking off every diaper I put on her, so I have to use snap covers. But yesterday I figured out that she likes her pink boingos, so if I put her in a folded flat and use her pink boingos without a cover she might leave it one for a while- nice! |

Re: Another old skool challenge?
Washing machine is having issues.
We're due to wash diapers today, too. <gulp> Trying to decide if I should take the plunge and try to hand wash them or not. SOOOO glad we've been doing this challenge since all we have in the pail is flats and a few covers!!!

Re: Another old skool challenge?
Thank goodness for flats! I have been handwashing my dipes all week because it is so darn cold here that our washing machine freezes. It is way easier than I thought it would be! I have even used flats at night instead of my sbish just to make washing easier and I havent had any leaks or issues! I used a receiving blanket diaper bag fold with a pad folded bamboo flat and a stay dry liner then either a thirsties or fleece cover over it and it does the trick. Also, I have been saving water with handwashing believe it or not! Our he fl machine uses about 15gal of water per load and handwashing i have been using no more than 10gal!
