My dd won a kindle fire!

I'm so excited for her do just have to share! Today we had a 5k as a fundraiser for school (I teach there and my girls attend there). Anyway 2 of my 3 did not want to wake up to go early this morning but my oldest was up, showered and dressed (although she was in jeans so I had to instruct her to go put on yoga pants lol), before I got up. Well she ran and was entered into a drawing for a kindle fire and she won!! She is 11 and it was something that was on her Christmas list . She was so shocked and I wish I could have caught her expression on camera! She's So'o happy!

Now my other daughters are mad! But life lesson! They didn't get up and go do they didn't have a chance to win. Obviously no guarantee they would have won anyway since it was a drawing but you sure aren't going to win if you don't go lol

So true! They'll probably be the first ones up and ready the next time.

We went to DH's work party tonight and left with a $25 gift card to Olive Garden. It's no Kindle Fire, but hey...it's another free date night! I'll take it! Must be a lucky day today.
