Question for moms of 4 or more?
So this time around I'm having a ton of braxton hicks. I'm 27 weeks and this has been happening for 3 weeks. It has been 4 years since I was last preg. and I am 38 I don't think anythings wrong I just was hoping others might have had this as well. Maybe share some of what you felt and what may have slowed them down.
Thanks it so nice to have a place to come and share.

Re: Question for moms of 4 or more?
o be honest I never notice them until I go wow I am out of breath,
But each pregnancy I have had has gotten healthier and healthier as far as me taking care of me with exercise and diet. So I am constantly drinking water and moving around. But that being said by the time I hit 8 months I am sure they will knock me over and I usually go earlier with each baby. GL I am sure that did not help much,

Re: Question for moms of 4 or more?
Yup, all day long. At night they are to the point where you can time them, and they hurt a little. I had my last OB appt yesterday at 27wks2d (long story, I am going unassisted again) and had a scan done. My cervix is over 4.75cm, so the BH contrx are not causing any "damage." This is babe #4 in 6 years.

Re: Question for moms of 4 or more?
I have had a lot of BH with every pregnancy. They usually start before 20 weeks (the past few times was 15 weeks) and continue, getting more frequent, until birth.
Sometimes resting, putting my feet up, drinking lots of water... those can help calm things down. Sometimes nothing helps at all.

Re: Question for moms of 4 or more?
Not 4 or more kids. I only have 3 but tons of Braxton hicks wih them all. They got worse with each child. With my third child the doctor was timeing them at every 2-3 minutes for several hours. The reason she had me stop working at 7 months pregnant. With my last they started between 7-8 weeks and prgressively got worse.
As a pp mentioned rest and plenty of fluids helped. Eating regularly also helped. So did a belly support band. The ones designed specifically for pregnant bellies not post partum ones. This last one was what made the biggest difference aside from going to complete bed rest which just wasn't feasible.

This is only baby #2, but it's nice to know that I'm not alone on this.
Sometimes rest, an epsom salt bath, and other stuff works, sometimes not.

I do think that the amount has increased with each pregnancy though. #4 was a doozy for BH for me. This time I think I feel a few less, but not a lot less.

Re: Question for moms of 4 or more?
Yes they are an all day thing. I'm getting enough water for sure. I talk to clients about water all the time so I am the example! They just bug me and slow me down. I hate the wind knocked out of you feeling. So nice to know I'm not the only one.
