Re: Cloth safe diaper cream?
We use california baby. It is one of the only CD safe creams I've found that contains zinc and will actually heal up a bad diaper rash. For just everyday barrier use, I like coconut oil or angel baby bottom balm. But, neither of those will do anything if she actually has a rash.

I love Grandma Els. I don't see anywhere its petroleum based, but I've never had problems with it coming out of any diapers. It smells great and works like a dream!

Re: Cloth safe diaper cream?
Another vote for Angel Baby Bottom Balm or the Angel Baby earth momma Bottom Balm (for postpartum) for daily protection when there's no rash.
For actual rash, I go with precription creams and liners or sposies until it's healed. |

Another Magic Stick vote. It's saved us from some bad rash situations like after IV antibiotic diarrhea.

Re: Cloth safe diaper cream?
Just had my first case of diaper rash this week. Help!! my DD has sensitive skin and the rash had been so small i ignored it and then one afternoon it looked really bad. I started out using the Desitin stuff and disposables again but that made me unhappy not using my cloth. I did some research for cd safe cream and the only thing close by was california baby at Target. I've been using it the past two days but the rash is still there
I've been changing her as soon as i notice the diaper is wet. Any other suggestions?(I ordered some CJ's but its not here yet) |

Re: Cloth safe diaper cream?
It seems to me that all cloth safe creams are mostly oil. So I use lanolin or our body oil which is 1pt caster & 3pt sunflower (or olive) oil

Re: Cloth safe diaper cream?
i cant remember what I used when ds was in diapers, but the little girl at my daycare in cloth uses the earth mama angel baby bottom balm, and it clears her rashes up pretty quickly. they do always use liners though, whether she has a rash or not

Re: Cloth safe diaper cream?
My LO had a yeast diaper rash. I tried organic coconut oil and lathered it on and after 4 days I couldn't believe how much better it looked. Someone told me coconut oil is naturally anti-fungal.
