Great quick sandwich bread recipe

I needed some quick sandwich bread. Didn't have 2 hours to let our normal recipe rise. then I found this

http://bakingbites.com/2011/02/no-kn...andwich-bread/

It is simple like no knead artisan bread and only needs 30 mins to rise. We loved it. The crust was slightly crunchy and the texture was nice and fluffy. And the best part- it has to be the simplest bread I have ever made. Next time I am going to sub more whole wheat flour for the AP to see how far I can go without messing the texture up too bad. Its a great recipe.

Awesome! I would love to know how much success you have with ww flour. I will probably try it that way.

Re: Great quick sandwich bread recipe

Thanks for posting this. I was out of bread flour but used all purpose. I have it on the rise right now but in five minutes it's already nearly one inch over the pan so I may be baking this off soon. It's for tonight's dinner.

Re: Great quick sandwich bread recipe

I pinned it, and it turned out that my mom was making it that day. She said she was going to split it into two loaves next time because it was so big. Also, she ended up adding a little flour and kneaded it for two minutes to make it a little easier to handle.

Re: Great quick sandwich bread recipe

Did anyone else make it? I made it, definitely closer to store bought bread than is typical for home made bread. I really wanted dippy eggs and toast and was out of bread, so I made this.

I am going to split it in half next time like your mom, since in five mins rise time last time it had gone over the sides. Then it fell in half while coming out of the pan bc it was so top heavy. But it was delicious!!!

I love a new bread recipe! I made my normal 'sandwich bread' recipe and it took me about 4 hours today. Excited to try this recipe tomorrow!
