So I finally have a moment free so I'll write my birth story. My water broke with Penelope at 35w4d (not surprised) normally I am famous for going into pre-term labor, then my water breaks and NOTHING! I was offered the Progesterone injection which I did do with ds2 but declined this time, because I still had him at 35w0d and it made my induction horrid. At 34w6d I went into labor I was having HUGE contractions every 3-5 minutes but since I wasn't crowning when I walked through the door they didn't stop my labor or keep me. The dr. told me I couldn't get mag at this point and unless I wanted to go to the nearest hossy with a NICU to go home and deal with it. (she told me this with ds2 also) I was already 4 at this point. 3 days later I went to the OB they swabbed me for GBS and checked me again I was still 4, but -2 and only 50%. I told the dr. that the moment they checked me for GBS my water would most likely break. The next day it did. At 2:34pm my water broke I had be contracting up until this point, but as soon as my water broke, nothing. I got my kids off the bus, drove ds2 to my moms in the next town over, Still NOTHING! I got to the hospital at about 5:30-6:00. They started pit at 8:00. I didn't start regularly contracting until 11. I should add my gbs wasn't back but I refused the antibiotics. When they checked me at 11 I was still 4. When they checked me at 2 I was still 4. I cried. At 4 they checked me again I was a good 4. I chose at this point to get in the tub to labor. I sat there for 15 minutes, and threw up and needed to push. I went from "a good 4" to complete in about 15 minutes. I got out and pushed. I pushed for almost an hour (not fun.) Finally Penelope Grace was born, at 5:18am. She had/has a very large bruise on her forehead from dropping so fast. She was also sunny side up. My ob kept saying that for only being 35w5d she was good sized at 5 pounds 15 ounces. She is such a peanut though. She is nursing like a pro and shows no side effects from being early.
