DD was a hip tickler. This one seems firmly interested in whatever nerves can be messed with that reach into my cervix. I'm just waiting to see a leg pop through :P

I feel like this baby is all over the place. I have been trying to do belly mapping (maybe its too early?), but I feel kicks and moves and bulges _all_over_ with this one. The fact that I have ocassionally felt like baby kicked my cervix makes me really hopeful my placenta isnt covering it.

For the first time in the history of the Air Force (not really but first time I have ever heard of it) they shortened a deployment by 2+ months! No specifics but he will be back well before the birth. So now all our well laid out plans are once again in pieces, thank you Air Force. Just cancelled my doula today (she was so nice and gave me back my deposit- must send her a gift anyway). If I have no placenta problems I am going back to AL with DH. We havent discussed the high-risk placenta plan yet so thats stressful to think about - too many unknowns. I am very happy dh will be home sooner, but I am sad for my mom who was so honored to be my coach. Also sad that I wont be with my ob or hospital here in Illinois because I like it 20x better than my AL plan. And super irritated that I just finished unpacking here in IL. I keep repeating to myself, "we chose this way of life." Still, I hate the Air Force this week..

ugh.. I totally understand and I'm sorry It's been happening a lot around here with people coming home early and our friend who leaves in February is only supposed to do a 4month tour instead of a regular 6month one. I guess they're shutting down a lot of operations.

anyways... I would not be pleased about the hospital change and repacking, etc either. That sounds so frustrating. DH keeps saying that if he gets tasked for this or deployment (both taskings are apparantly in April) that he's sending me to Texas to birth around family. Just the thought of not being in this hospital that I love makes me sad. I mean, yeah.. there are elements that would be easier, but when you get a plan set in your mind, your plan is set in your mind. Change that you didn't ask for is hard.

I hope that as things settle down, it all starts feeling better quickly. If it wasn't for the fact that traveling with a newborn doesn't sound like fun, I'd tell you to stay in IL and go about your plan anyways

on the plus side: yay for hubbies on American soil!

Could be, but I'd wait and see how she feels when baby comes. Sometimes kids are great and it's no big deal, but sometimes it's a big change and trying to add something else to the mix (like potty training) just doesn't work out at all, just adds more stress.

Levi's 2.5. This is the earliest we've ever started with any of the kids - though, if he continues, he'll be the easiest one we've had... so more likely than not we'll start around the same time with Hiccup!

I wouldn't start that early unless she was showing interest. But that's just me. I know a mama in church who had her DD fully potty trained at 18 months. I have no clue how, but she did.

Yes, with a breech baby you'll feel most of the movements down low.

I thought for sure Hiccup was transverse some and head up some a couple weeks ago, but now I'm thinking he's gone transverse and breech. I'm not going to worry about it, because I've tried to move babies in the past and not had any luck - they tend to do whatever they're going to do and that's it! But I'll still be hoping he'll get head down and telling him to do that!

Does he have to be in AL when he's home? Is there any way he could come to IL and you could all stay there until after baby comes?

AFM: Levi did awesome today! He's really doing much better than we even hoped for - which is a nice change for us and potty training!
We had to put him in a diaper for the morning (driving and church), but we told him he could still just wait and go potty - we took him a few times at church, then at lunch, and while at a store, and he stayed pretty much dry the whole morning! (it was like one of those dribble - oh wait, i'm supposed to hold it! kwim?) Then he stayed dry in undies at DH's parents house for the rest of the day. He did have one poop accident - but again, we're not stressing about that right now. We'll work on that next week, lol.
We did get him some pull-ups now ("special underwear" for sleeping and in the van ) so we can put away the diapers totally and not have to have him in one even for nights - I think that can be confusing for them, although he was doing really well in spite of needing to use them these few days.

Nothing to report except normal pregnancy things - uncomfortable, hard to breathe, can barely pick up my 2yo anymore went to a baby shower last night and was gone 5 hours. Have been thinking really hard and I do believe the last time I had 5 hours to myself was before I had DD. It was really refreshing. Really have to work on doing that a little more often. And I don't even mind taking the newbie because they're so portable for the first little bit. it's now possible that DH will miss the birth.. but not putting too much energy into thinking about it right now because well, there's no point unless the military finalizes it. Have a great time in Texas! Glad they explained the diaper thing, that makes a lot more sense And hooray for time away alone!!!

My midwife said that a lot of babies turn around 30 weeks because thats when their head starts weighing a lot more? Mine is definitely still breech too and stays on my right side, my placenta is anterior. With DS I was told I had a partial bi-corniate uterus so I wonder if thats why she's sticking to one side right now. I don't remember with DS if he was mostly just on one side.
Nothing too exciting happening here this week. DH is going to the Pork Congress this week, so it'll be a bit challenging balancing the kids while he's gone, and DSD is not doing as many visits with her mom as usual so she's struggling. Next weekend my parents asked to take the kids so I'm excited for time alone with DH! Some of the last time before baby is born

Interesting about the heavy head and turning. My kids, except Isaac (he was my c-sec baby), were all head down by 26-28 weeks... which, yes, kinda makes me worry about Hiccup's positioning in there! When I feel, though, I still think he's transverse/head down on left... but I really have no idea.

Levi's doing awesome with pottying - we put him in a pullup last night and he woke this morning to tell me he was stinky. He wasn't, though, only a teeny bit wet, and he went right on the potty and had a big pee!
We just gotta catch him and get him pooping on the toilet - but I'll take peeing and staying dry for the time being! Still means I can get diapering things all washed up and put away!

DH's family will be arriving this weekend/early next week!!! I'm so excited to see them! Gotta get the house all cleaned and tidied through the week, get the spare room ready for BIL - totally worth it.

Today is grocery day, though I came online just to check banking stuff... then snuck over here to check Really gotta go get ready!

Well if you are back here in AL and you do not like your Dr. I HIGHLY reccomend my Dr. He is actually closer to you then me. You can just shoot up 65. Seriously, I researched and researched to find him. Another momma from b'ham suggested him and I had a wonderful VBA2C and have had a great exp with him so far. He also has office hrs much closer to you as well. Oh and the hospital I delivered at was AMAZING. I have had 3 babies at 3 different hospitals and 3 different states and the one in AL was the best--go figure.

If you need any help with your move back let me know I can see what I can do.

Thank you! I remember you talking about your doc in the AL thread. What hospitals does he deliver at? That doc is covered by my insurance but I couldnt tell what hospital it was.

My OB in AL wasnt bad... I just felt like he was awkward. And scripted- like at my mom's old job she was taught to use certain phrases like "do you have any questions for me? I have the time." So then on their post-treatment survey they'd give a positive mark for "nurse had plenty of time to talk with you". That was this guy. Very scripted and buzz wordy... Petty, I know but I am gonna be naked in front of this dude! I dont want to feel awkward!
