How long until incision swelling goes away?
I'm 6 weeks PP and the swelling is mostly gone except this annoying bulge just above the incision (toward my belly button) - will that ever go away? How long did it take for a flat incision area? TIA!

Re: How long until incision swelling goes away?
I had a weird bulge to one side with my last c-section (#2 for me) and it took more then 2 years to really flatten out. I am 4 years out now and it is mostly flat. However my son gave me BAD stretch marks on my belly that made my belly never flat again, and I started showing at about 6 weeks with this baby!
Good luck!

Re: How long until incision swelling goes away?
I had a bulge above and below for several months. It looked like I had an elastic band stretched across my scar. The bottom bulge went away slower than the top, I'd say everything was back to normal around 3 months pp. I only gained 15 lbs and lost it in the first month pp though.

Re: How long until incision swelling goes away?
Thanks gals! Since I first posted this, I've noticed the swelling has really reduced. Hoping it flattens out completely at some point.

I am 6 months out and I still have a little "pouch." I'm afraid it will always be there.

I'm 18 months pp & still have a small pooch. I had gained 30 pounds when I had the section & still have 16 more pounds to loose. My dr told me to get up & move lol the more I exercise loose weight & tone up the sooner & more it'll go down. Now I just have to actually do it lol
