Fav Flat Folds for Newborns

What are your favorite flat folds for newborns? I like trim, but obviously containing blowouts is a priority I used to use and origami fold on my older dd but never used flats on her when she was a newborn. I'd love pics of flats with different folds on newborns too. I'm expecting tiny ones (~5lbers).

I didn't start using flats on my baby until she was 6 weeks old, so not a newborn but still a little baby. I use the osocozy unbleached flats.

Here she is at 6 weeks old in a snappied origami fold. This was my first time using the flat on her so please excuse the messy folding.



Here she is at 8 weeks with a kite fold. I LOVE this fold. It is super trim, but has enough layers upfront to absorb the pee.

I used orgami and jellyrolled the sides.

May try kite fold also this time. Mostly used that as baby gets older. I couldn't get it small enough but I will give it a go

Thanks for that pics, that kite fold looks AMAZING! I don't expect to use the flats on them until they are 8-10 lbs or so, but with two babies, I may end up using them sooner as backup diapers

I've been using the mini kite fold on my little guy since he was 4 weeks old. It's perfect for his skinny thighs. It's posted on a thread here somewhere with pics.
