This is simply not true. Babies do not use ALL of the breastmilk, hence why they poop. It's not possible to utilize it so well that there is nothing left to excrete. There is legitimate reason for concern if a baby isn't pooping at least once a week, imo. As someone else said, diary sensitivities or other food intolerances could be part of the problem.

Well, still no poop. We moved DD's doctors appointment up to tomorrow. I'd rather just get her checked out and know for sure nothing is wrong.

She was fairly fussy and fidgety today. She could not keep the prune juice down at all. But no worries! She missed her outfit entirely. Mine, not so much lol. I have a recommendation for a chiropractor, so I am going to give his office a call. Hopefully they can fit us in tomorrow.

Ask your dr about the glycerin suppository. Going that long I doubt your dr would have any issue with you doing it. If it continues to be an issue, you can revisit.

I'm glad you got an earlier app to get it checked out. Our pedi actually changed us from using Vaseline on the qtip to preperation h & just barely insert in the rear. So we're gonna be trying that when we need to. Luckily after doing that for months she's sort of getting better at going. Let us know how the app goes.

Ebf babies routinely go longer than a week. That is very true. I know they don't use ALL the stuff but so much that it takes a while to build up a poop to excrete.

Op with your history of you brother having problems I can see your worry. Usually your baby would be in some major distress if the bowls were kinked or blocked or twisted. It would be painful and her abdomen would be very distended. Glad your going to the doc

Even EBF babies still shouldn't go too much longer than a week, though. If this happens again, I would ask for a GI referral.

I was also thinking that coconut oil might help. If you can get her to eat some coconut oil or maybe rub it on her tummy.

Have you tried half of a glycerine suppository?
I might also try to get some coconut oil into her.
And great idea on the chiropractor!
