question -- don't know what to call this
I don't even know where I should put this question. This may be the wrong group of mommas to ask but I'm asking.
DD is going to be 1 year in a month. I work full time and have stopped pumping because my job was suffering (I teach). I was hoping that I'd have enough in the freezer to last DD until she was a year and then we'd transition to something else but I still plan to nurse her morning and night for a while still. But she's almost out. As in I need to have something for the nanny to give her on Monday. So my question is, what do I give her? SHe's only a month away from 1 year. She's eating some solids but really was taking in most of her calories from my milk. We are a mostly vegan/vegetarian family, so I'm definitely wondering about coconut milk and the like. I know if I ask my doc she'll say "Similac" and that'll be that. thanks!

I would do formula since she is under a year and you are gone so long. Especially with you milk (so the formula) being her primary source of nutrients. You could increase her solids and do a milk alternative, too.

I would say either donor milk or formula. Coconut milk isn't complete enough to be her primary source of nutrition.

I agree. You could try an organic formula is the regular stuff bothers you.
