searching for a waterbirthing midwife in Roswell/Alpharetta
Hi! I havent been on in a while good to see that DS has grown! I am looking for a midwife that does waterbirths at North Fulton Hospital. I have previously used Janet Fuedello (sp?) When she was with Alpharetta Womens Specialist but it appears as though she is on Maternity leave until July! I really loved her and we worked really well together so im sadly dissapointed. I was excited to use her again. Anywho, can any experianced mamas point me in the direction of another midwife they just loved? Both my good friend and I are due in late September so we need suggestions! Also. My friend is looking for someone that might be willing to work with her doing a waterbirth VBAC, I've never had to deal with that issue so I don't know if there would be different suggestions for that. TIA!

Re: searching for a waterbirthing midwife in Roswell/Alpharetta
I used Janet w/ my 3rd baby too. She's awesome. If I were delivering again, I would probably try Isis. I think Kim Storey is there, and I've heard good things about her. But, isn't there another midwife at AWS, Sherry, I think? Also, there is Diane Tandy at Gifts of Grace. She delivered my 2nd in 2009 and when I had my 3rd in 2011 she was still delivering at N. Fulton though I think her main hospital is John's creek emory (I believe it's called).
if you just can't find anyone up there, what about Intown Midwifery? maybe worth the drive for you to know you're in good hands. good luck Mama! and feel free to PM me if you have specific questions that are better discussed off board. |

Re: searching for a waterbirthing midwife in Roswell/Alpharetta
I know this is a little older post, but FYI Diane Tandy moved back to South Africa last June (when I was 37 weeks!!!). Kim Storey was who I used and she did a great job making sure I got my water birth, even with my GD and switching to her at 38 weeks!

Oh, and for your friend, North Fulton does not allow VBACs to attempt a water birth

Thanks ladies we have decided to go with Kim storey. Water birth VBACs at north Fulton are soon-ish to come just an fyi. There are working on getting the required monitering supplies for the tub. Probably wont happen during our pregnancies, but at least its movement......
