When in other's homes
Do you make your kids help pick up toys?

Yes, unless they are very close friends. Then we all just clean up our houses after everyone leaves

Re: When in other's homes
Yes.
Although, when kids come over to my house, I tell them not to pick up because they're guests. Really it's because I want things put away right.

Re: When in other's homes
Yup. We pick up the toys we play with at home, we pick up the toys we play with when at our friend's house. The only exception to that is Nani's, she will skin me alive if I make her precious grandbaby lift a finger at her house

Re: When in other's homes
If they played they clean. Depending on the family also. If it is someone who never has their toys picked up or cleaned up stuff then I make them clean up a certain amount of things before we leave. If it is someone who I know keeps stuff picked up and it was mostly clean before we got there then I make them clean until it is done. Pretty much leave it like you found it or a tad better

We treat other people's house the same as we treat ours....we put things away when we are finished.
I have friends who insist we leave it but my kids are conditioned and most often just automatically do it without being asked

Re: When in other's homes
Of course. They clean up at our house also. We believe strongly in restoration and responsibility.
