I let my babies come when they are ready and would not consent to an induction or any other medical intervention unless necessary.
The twice weekly biophysical profiles and non-stress tests after the forty-first week sure are an annoyance, though!

At 9 days overdue I had a membrane sweep, labor started naturally 12 hours later. He was under 7 pounds so he definitely needed to cook, but I was desperate to avoid an induction so I'm happy I had the sweep.

DD1-induced at 40+6 (actually born 41+3 in worlds longest induction.)
DD2- induced at 41+5 (dr stripped membranes, 1 cytotec, 3 hours of pit at lowest level, they turned Off pit, I went into labor, DD2 born 6 hrs later). |

Well, I had my baby!
I went into labor naturally Saturday afternoon and had him Sunday, 7:25 AM. He was 9 lbs, 3oz, 22" long and 14.5" head! ouch! ![]() so DS 1: 6 days early DS 2: 8 days post

Congrats!!!!
DS was 5 days late, water broke naturally at 3am looking for food. Lol! Although labor didn't progress at all so had to be given oxytocin (assuming it was pitocin) to get things happening. Think it was due to cervical scarring because once the scar material broke I was to 10 in no time. Born at 8lbs 4oz. 21.5 inches.

DD was 5 days late. Ironically, the due date was 100% accurate b/c she was an IVF baby, so it just goes to show you that your body will decide when it's the right time
