Why are all the best cosleepers in the UK??

The only available cosleeper in the US is the plastic-y, unattractive Arm's Reach.
The UK offers the BedNest, the BabyBay, and about a gazillion other sturdy, stylish cosleeping options.
I'm not up to DIY, and even the sidecarred crib directions sounded pretty iffy. Why do you UK folks get all the schmancy cosleepers?

Although I must say, I like the function of my regular arm's reach cosleeper enough that I don't care what it looks like... it makes my life easier so it's great.

I am really odd. I side car the crib. Yeah it is a bit hard to get into my side of the bed but with quick zip sheets, changing sheets isn't that hard at least!

I used a mini crib as a side car. Was the perfect size.and.pretty inexpensive

because the government thinks co-sleeping will kill your baby and you should put them in a baby jail aka crib on the other side of the house so not to spoil them. ;P
