Can moderate illness delay O?
I know, total newb Q.
![]() Been battling a lung virus of some kind. No sinus issues, but this cough has been with me for three weeks (progressing from dry to violent to productive). I confess to suspecting pertussis. Even managed to injur my ribcage from the intensity of the coughing fits ... Only meds I'm taking are expectorants and for pain. Well, turned the "bend" yesterday. O was supposed to be the 23rd; and I had a hint of CF then ... but yesterday I started producing heavy milky CF (healthy milky, not infected-milky). So ... is it possible that my body simply "delayed" O until it was over the hill of my symptoms? I guess we'll find out in a few days...

Re: Can moderate illness delay O?
absolutely yes. it could have been the meds you were on, too. but that happens a lot, to delay O because of illness, stress, even an enviroment change (like travelling on an airplane). there are SO many factors to delay/change ovulation, so keep being careful if you want to avoid. GL!

Re: Can moderate illness delay O?
When I was researching during my scare - I did find out that YES, illness can delay O. Our bodies can be so sensitive! I hope you feel better.

Re: Can moderate illness delay O?
Thank you ladies for the reply. Fortunately (?), I've been too sore and tired for any hanky-panky, so as TTA is concerned, that at least has been a non-issue. Been off the pain meds since Friday and have gone back to herbal (nursing safe) aides. But I've been sick for a month now and suspect this is turned into a form of bronchial asthma. Going to make an appointment with my doc this week. I appreciate the well-wishes, thank you.

Re: Can moderate illness delay O?
Well, hopefully this thread is affirming to a few of you. AF came a few days early and is lasting forever, too ...Doc suspects walking pneumonia. |
