I will totally buy sunbabies, but I have never regarded her as a WHAM. I think she was at one point, got bigger, expanded, is now a manufacturer just like all the other big players in the cd industry. Does she even still call herself that?

If you want to go there, couldn't we even question all of the personalities that represent the US and Canadian companies? How many of us know them all personally and can voucher they aren't just an idea/face for the company? I don't even think it is worth arguing about tbh.

ETA- I think most of the tidy little "this is how we started "stories are bs, regardless of were their product is coming from. Everyone (ok, probably not everyone) likes a sweet little story to make them feel good about who they choose to do business with. I could care less about why/how they chose their industry.

March doesn't get anything from this. She is like me, doing it just for the info. However, Sunpei is the "owner" and in that interview she says her biggest customers are from the US. I bet Kawaii's biggest customers are Americans too. So, why not? These diaper companies are making plenty of money off us. It is for their benefit.

That is subjective. Lots don't consider Jenn @ Cotton Babies, and even Suzanne @ GoodMama WAHMs now that they hit the big time in the cd world.

I don't know enough about customs laws to know what exactly is shady about that invoice, but I do believe March that the quantity is off. FWIW I ordered 8 Alvas the other night so I will post a pic of the invoice when I get them.

I guess what I care about, as someone whose stash is all Diaper Rite, is if Diaper Junction is buying their diapers from Alva and if everything is on the up and up. The former is not a deal breaker for me, but the latter might be.

My problem is that I've tried everything. I don't like microfleece, I don't like the snap configuration on BG 4.0 or HH or RaR. Etc etc. This is the only diaper that works for us, so I'll be bummed if I feel morally obligated to restash. I just don't know anything about importing, certificates, etc. I would be surprised if they are blatantly violating any laws, to be honest. It just seems like too much of a risk. I have faith but will be open to any information anyone can provide. Thanks!

Wow, and after reading that I can name one US manufacturer I will not be buying from. Ouch.
