I'm approaching the 72 hour mark. Been taking 3 610 mg capsules 3x per day for 3 days. I swear I've actually seen a slight decrease in production. I EP and have been doing so every 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Everything I've read says I should start seeing results in 1-3 days. Also been eating lactation cookies & taking brewers yeast. Anyone have a similar experience? Or success stories?

Does your skin smell like maple syrup? If not, you're not taking enough fenugreek. Other foods to try - papaya, oatmeal, Mother's Milk tea.

What is your EP situation? Could you hold your LO on your lap as you pump? The pheromones from smelling your baby can help milk flow. Maybe a photo or video of your LO?

I have to be on reglan too. I know lots of people prefer domperidone, but my insurance does not pay for it.

No maple syrup smell yet at all. I really thought I was taking enough with 3 pills 3x/day. I guess I'll kick it up and see if that helps?

The situation is that DD never really nursed well. I was pumping and BFing for awhile but DD and I both got really frustrated. Just determined she has a dairy allergy so trying to produce more so we don't have to supplement with soy. Ugh. I always had more Han enough for the 1st 6 mos.

I am doing oatmeal, flax and mothers milk tea as often as I can tend that nasty stuff too.

I work FT so holding LO often isn't an option. But I will try that when I'm home! Thx

Try thistle or even mothers milk plus as I found out is one u could maybe use even though people said for tandem nursing after I couldn't feed anymore after getting pregnant 3rd time here when my 21 month now was 14 months old & loved nursing. Sometimes the herbs though just don't stress. It won't help supply. Baby can get milk better than any pump. Lots of water!

I take 5 - 610 mg capsules 3 times a day and although it definitely increased my supply, I've never noticed a maple scent on myself.

Hmm good info. Didn't even know there was a mores milk plus. I'm upping my fenugreek to 6 pills 3 x a day. Guess ill know in a few days. Thanks for the help!

I took fenugreek and smelled strongly of maple syrup for a few days and then didn't. I think some people's bodies get used to it and it doesn't do much?
