Re: Five days ago my daughter requested a hair cut...
I think it's super cute!!!
My 5yo wants a hair cut, not sure I could go that short, but it looks good on your dd, so maybe!

I'd probably make her think on It for two weeks to make sure it wasn't a whim. Then I'd cringe behind her since she has waist length blonde hair, but in the end it's her body and her choice.
Your daughter looks super cute!! Sent from my iPhone using DS Forum

As the hair fell my knees got weak, my eyes filled up and I called my husband because I couldn't bear it alone! Ridiculous.

Re: Five days ago my daughter requested a hair cut...
She looks adorable! I love it!
To answer your question - Yes, I'd do it and did last summer. My then 4.5 year old had been asking for "short hair", and would put her hands up by her chin. She ended up with a slightly longer than chin length bob that was stacked in the back. It was super cute. I did hold my breath as 8 inches fell to the floor.

Re: Five days ago my daughter requested a hair cut...
I think it looks super cute. I would advise my daughter against it because her hair is super curly ans doesn't lay well short. But, straight hair does better short.

Re: Five days ago my daughter requested a hair cut...
Pretty and definitely not a baby anymore
She looks confident, that's the point!I'd cry. I can't cut my 15 month old DS's curly hair even though it's in his face sometimes. It's too gorgeous. Mama can't live without it yet.

My husband would die! He didn't speak to me for the rest of the day when she got bangs! She's 5.
Your daughter is adorable and clearly has a mind of her own and is using it. If you went in and told her to tell the stylist what she wants then it is fair game. Next time maybe discuss what it will be before hand so everyone can breathe easy. |
