Crafty Mommas :)

So any other crafty mommas out there? What are you working on?

I am currently cutting some old recieving blankets and making newborn diaper inserts that I can use as doublers later. I have been painting and making stuff for the nursery. I will come back and add pics later.

I would love to see what everyone is working on

Knitting here! We use washcloths instead of paper napkins and so I'm working on knitting a ton of new ones. Also working on a hat for my 8 year old and finishing a scarf for my 2 year old....

Nothing for new baby yet

Crocheted a soaker

And a pair of ruffle longies (no pic yet but they turned or super cute), and I'm working on a skirtie and a few aios. I plan on sewing up a bunch more fitteds in the near future. Too bad my sewing machine is in DH's car today, or I'd work on them today! (Got an unexpected "ice" not snow day at work today.)

I really need to add "take a sewing class" to my goal list this year. Love those fitteds!

Re: Crafty Mommas :)

I've made three diapers so far:

Left is a NB quick snap flap wrap with leg elastic added, flannel outer, terry inner
Middle is the babyville newborn pattern with added soaker flaps that fold in from the leg area for absorbency, cotton knit inner and outer
Right is a SM quick snap flap wrap with leg elastic, flannel, terry

Next up: a ton more diapers, baby's name in wooden letters with scrapbook paper mod-podged onto them, a couple of wrap-style wool soakers out of old sweaters, and who knows what else.

Wow those all look great I will have to post some pictures of the nursery decor I have been making. I also want to embroider some things for her.

Everyone is so talented! Tried my first cloth wipes this morning

And it really hurt my wallet but I spent money on fabric today. I'm going to make some wall art (stretching the fabric over some wooden frames I'm making) with these:

Pretty excited to see it up on the wall. Still need to make something for above the crib (with her name, Isabella). And did some interesting "borders" for the nursery that you really need a picture of to appreciate. Maybe I'll post later
