I have a 3 year old that I would like to get a hand held game system for him that he can use for learning letters and more.We have no game systems and few electronics in our home so I have no clue whats out there.Im going to have to teach myself before I teach him how to use one!

Im really interested in the leapfrog letter factory so maybe a leapfrog system?Whats good for a 3 year old?

We have the Leapster 2 for our 3 year old and it is great as it takes a 3 yr old's abuse with dropping. It has a lot of games, all our educational too. We love ours.

We have a Leapster Explorer and 2 LeapPad2s and my kids strongly prefer the LeapPad2s. The day we got the first one was the last time the Explorer got touched. They love them. There is a way to turn the ads off on them if you search on leap frog's website. I think they are great and they have taken a beating.

We have Letter Factory and DS really likes it. He knows all his letters now and I think it helped.
