Definitely. I would have to go with the toddler because she's still nursing but he wouldn't hesitate to take the 2 year old. I mean life threatening of course he would take the 1 year old but given the choice I would go with her.

Re: Would your DH/SO go to the hospital?
Of course he would. How is this even a question?
Dd has life-threatening food allergies. If one of her parents was not willing to take her to the hospital in an emergency, she could die. When dd broke her leg, we all went to the ER together. When she has in-hospital food challenges for her allergies, we all go together. ETA: The guy in the OP sounds like quite a piece of work, but I can't imagine what the mom was thinking either. If my 5-year-old had a broken foot, I would pack him into the car and get him to the hospital, and my dh could deal with the 14-year-olds whether he wanted to or not. Absolutely, no question about it. He is just as involved in our children's lives as I am.

Re: Would your DH/SO go to the hospital?
My dh went with DS2 to the hospital hours after he was born. They needed to transfer him from the birthcenter to the NICU because he was having breathing issues. I stayed at the birthcenter because they wanted to monitor me because I had PP hemorrhaged
rather badly. So he spent about 6 hours with our son without me in the NICU.

Re: Would your DH/SO go to the hospital?
I voted "only if it was something really serious". As a SAHM, I take care of doctor's appointments. He has attended with me on occasions but has not taken a kiddo to the doctor on his own. I would tend to feel I should go with the sick/injured kiddo and he would stay with the healthy child. However, if some circumstance made it the wiser choice for him to go then I am certain that he would step up.

Re: Would your DH/SO go to the hospital?
If one of my kids needed to go to the hospital, either he or I would take them and no way would he have a problem with that. I find it really shocking that he made his dd wait 3 HOURS to have her broken foot looked at. Honestly I find it shocking that SHE didn't insist or find another way to take her dd before the end of the party.

Re: Would your DH/SO go to the hospital?
To me it's so "old School" attitude like. It makes me think of my Grandmother saying how my grandfather would never watch the kids by himself etc.
I'm pretty sure though that he would have taken them to the hospital by himself. I bet he did because there are SO MANY stories of the 4 of them, all 1 year apart, breaking things etc. My mom put her foot through the wall one time and broke her leg.

="Kason's mommy-
So he would have left your child in pain for hours until you could take the child yourself?
