I was going to say the same thing- you could totally do some cotton or acrylic if you want something knitted! I just got some knitpicks comfy sport yarn (cotton/acrylic blend) to make my 2.5 yr old some highwaters, and it is SO soft to touch! Plus another bonus is that it's a lot cheaper than wool yarn!

I got the yarn from Hobby Lobby. It's their I Love This Yarn line and that colorway is Pastels Ombre. I work with it a lot. It's my favorite acrylic.

Amelia's coming home outfit was knit but it was cotton. I used this pattern and it was super easy! She was 7lbs on the dot and it fit perfectly.

Thank you! I will have to check that out!! I LOVE to knit but I can't afford nice wool all of the time, but I love to see pretty coloways was I knit, so this is perfect.
