What do you call it?
What do you teach your child to call nursing?
Right now my DH and I joke around and refer to our son as "needing his boobie" or wanting "boobie juice". Of course he's only 4 weeks old and not repeating anything. I just don't think I'll be thrilled with him saying loudly in a store that he "wants some boobie juice", etc. when he is a little older. ![]() So I want to get in the habit now of referring to nursing with a nickname that our son can use when he is a year or two old and requesting to nurse. Any suggestions?

We call it "nummies" when my 2 year old asks for nummies most people who don't know assume it is her cute way of asking for food, which I guess it sorta is, just not the food they are picturing

My daughter said "Ning Ning"
My son says "e-IDE (other side), Ning Ning or boobies" And when I ask my kiddos where there boobies are they point to me and not their own. Is too cute! |

DS used the milk sign. He wasnt very verbal till after 2yr old.
DD called it "num-ah-nums". Its what she came up with on her own. I'm mobile.... sorry for the typos!

Re: What do you call it?
Nursing. Or "time for the baby to eat". I don't like silly-sounding names because it's not something silly; its a nutritionally beneficial wonderful thing. I'm an adult and I want to sound like an adult doing a responsible good thing. Jmo.

Re: What do you call it?
We have always said "nursie". I am funny about what to call it because we have a friend who calls it "titty" and the first time it stood my hair on end.
