Are you against pacifiers?

Re: 20 week old nursing a lot
Babies instinctively know in most cases what and how often they need to eat. If you have noticed an increase it could be that she is having a growth spurt and needs to nurse or that your supply changed and her body is trying to get your production up. Also, as babies grow and become more aware of their surroundings they can get in the habit of sip and snacking because they get distracted more easily. You might try nursing in a quiet low stimulation area of your house in hopes that she would nurse longer in a session.

Re: 20 week old nursing a lot
Honestly that sounds really normal to me. DS was practically attached to my boob at that age. He ate every hour or less. Even now at 1 year he nurses frequently. Will she take a bottle for some feedings if you need a break? Can you try wearing her? That would often lull DS to sleep or just chill him out long enough for me to get some stuff done.

19 months he still wants to nurse every hour or more. I have to actively tell him no when I need to get things done.

Every hour or two really isn't that bad, TBH. But try to make sure she fills up with plenty of the fatty hind milk. That should take longer to digest than foremilk.

Thanks everyone! I didn't know it was so normal. Everything I read made me think a 20 week old should be nursing every 3-4 hours. I'm glad I'm not the only one
