Yeah...I think thats the direction were headed in. I'm just now getting him to eat solids on a regular basis but he still mostly just plays with them and throws them to the dogs.

At that age we were nursing every 30-40 min some days. Now at 9 mos he still nurses as much as every 1-2 hours some days. I just nurse on demand. Your baby sounds normal to me. I have never seen a breastfed baby go four hours at that age without eating.

My 6 month old nurses every hour to hour and a half. Sometimes, like now, she nurses more often.

Congratulations on making the decision to breast feed your DD. My DS, who is 8 months old nurses every hour. Besides being hungry, babies tend to use the breast to sooth themselves if they are teething or just not feeling well. Make certain that she is receiving enough hind milk, and pay close attention to her pooping pattern and color.
