Lanolin free nipple cream?
I'm expecting my 3rd baby in May and planning to breastfeed. Since my son's birth 8 years ago, I've discovered that I have a sensitivity to lanolin. I was just wondering if anyone can recommend some lanolin free options for sore cracked nipples? I'd like to be prepared from the start and pack my hospital bag early.

I really love love love Motherlove nipple cream and I'm pretty sure it's lanolin free. Here's a link: http://www.motherlove.com/product/10...ple-Cream.html
It's not sticky at all, but rather soft and smooth. And my favorite part was that I didn't have to peel off my nursing pads when I used it, like I did with lanolin.

Re: Lanolin free nipple cream?
I was planning on giving organic coconut oil a try. I read it is good as a nipple cream and is naturally antibacterial and safe for baby.

Re: Lanolin free nipple cream?
I would make my own nipple salve with a pain relieving herb like Plantain Mullein or calendula. I would infuse the herbs in olive oil for a month or 2 and then strain the solids and add melted beeswax to thicken to a slurry so it wouldn't just run all over the place.

I used this, but I have a lot of friends who swear by coconut oil!

Earth Mama Angel Baby Natural Nipple Butter is lanolin free. I used it for both my babies and I loved it!

Re: Lanolin free nipple cream?
I did not like using lanolin either! I started using organic olive oil or coconut oil.
