10 months PP still no AF, want advice or success stories?
I am new here ladies. Hello! I am still nursing dd along with feeding solids since 5 months and no AF. I am 38 and hoping for at least one more. I am curious to hear other peoples stories especially older moms. I don't think dd is ready for weaning, I have what I think might be EWCM frequently but not in any sort of pattern.

Hi momma! There are a couple of forums on here that might be better for you. Specifically ttc 30+ or ttc while bfing. Don't have any advice but they might be able to help you!

I'm younger, was 23 when my DS was born. But I didn't get AF back until DS was 13 months :-)

I didn't get AF until DS was 20 months old when I was able to wean down to for or so feeds. I think it took another 6 months before I really started ovulating. I am 31 and still TTC. Not trying to be a downer, but just saying it may take time even after AF to regulate.

Re: 10 months PP still no AF, want advice or success stories?
hi mama
![]() heres my past experiences! With DD1 I was 20, EBF, at 5 months introduced solids, got 1 period when she was 6 months, got pregnant with DD2 when she was 8 months and continued to BF until she was 14 months. With DD2 I was 22, EBF, at 6 months introduced solids, got 1 period when she was 10 months and got pregnant with DS1 when she was 11 months and continued BF her until she was 18 months. With DS1 I was 24, EBF, at 7 months introduced solids, got NO period at all whatsoever and caught my first ovulation when he was 15 months and got pregnant with DD3. I am now 26, tandem nursing dd3 who is 7 1/2 month old and ds1 and no sign of my period returning and dd3 tried solids last week with no interest. I know some women ebf round the clock and still get their period and fertility returns but for me, the longer I delay solids and bf baby on demand day/night the longer my period stays away. Just because no period yet doesnt mean you can't get pregnant if you catch your first ovulation

Re: 10 months PP still no AF, want advice or success stories?
Oh hugs mama! It has been different for me after each child. But on average, AF returns about 1 year pp. And we even caught ovulation one time b4 AF even showed up, lol! But now, I just daytime weaned my 20mo, and had AF within 2 wks! The only other advice I have, is that exercise seems to help AF return. Not excessive, of coarse, just 30-60min 3 times a week or so
