Re: S/O What do you wear in labor?
I just wore the hospital gowns. To be honest, I thought you HAD to wear what they give you!

Naked three times. I didn't care. Clothes bothered me, in fact.

Re: S/O What do you wear in labor?
I'll be bottomless once in transition. But I will probably just wear jammie pants before that

Strappy nightgown until I got into the tub (I was 6 cm at that point) and naked after that.

This. Exactly. Except my 3rd time is coming soon, I haven't ACTUALLY done it yet, but plan to labor nude.

Just the hospital gown each time and eventually that came off, too.

Re: S/O What do you wear in labor?
Well, I haven't labored in over 7 years, other than my loss a couple of years ago. For that I wore a tank and 2 hospital gowns (one on right and the other covering my back). I plan on doing the same thing. Just before my angel was born, I was super hot and shed both gowns... I imagine that is what will happen again.

Re: S/O What do you wear in labor?
Nothing?
In early labor at home, I think I just wore whatever I'd had on earlier in the day. But then I took my clothes off to sit in our bathtub at home. Labor sped up a little faster than anticipated, so I managed to toss on a bathrobe to get to the hospital but I took that off once I arrived and can't really imagine being able to concentrate with clothes on. I'm naturally shy about my body and had three friends in addition to my husband in the room. But still--I couldn't have dealt with clothing. |

Re: S/O What do you wear in labor?
Started in the hospital gown but it was so uncomfortable I moved to a sports bra and a homemade birthing skirt (skirt with a yoga style waist and slits on the sides). I was naked for pushing though. I was really annoyed at the nurse though because she kept trying to cover me up. I'm hoping to avoid the hospital this time.
