Hah. My husband hasn't either. He was talking to his mom about taxes and she was asking him questions, and he's like, " I don't know...umm no idea. Nicole takes care of it. I don't know if she knows what she's doing, but she gets lots of money back."

I am SO confused. We did our tax stuff last night and are getting 3k less than we usually get. And they didn't give us a credit at all for DD? DH took out stock/retirement money last year when we moved cross country but it said that it only took out $500 for taxes on it. So where did all of the other money go? We were really counting on that

The retirement money may have been counted as income and pushed you over the threshold for the credit for your dd

Yay I just filed - we are actually getting $$ back which was a big surprise. We owed last year... And nothing really changed... Weird. But i AM confident they were both done correctly.
We will be getting rid of our decades - old hand me down mattress! King size here we come! Also may get a cricut for myself :-)
