Breastfeeding and first period

With DS1 I had the Mirena put in around 6 weeks, pumped exclusively for 8 months (minimum of every 4 hours that entire time) and didn't get my period until a month or so after getting Mirena out when he was around 19 months or so. I know some still get their period with it but I didn't.

DS2 will be 5 months Feb 3rd and no AF so far. She can stay away as long as she wants, I get horrible IBS attacks during my cycle and ovulation and I want to avoid birth control until at least a year. With him I pumped exclusively for his first 2 months and am now EBFing, he still nurses a few times at night and about every 3 hours or so, sometimes less, during the day. I have noticed signs of my period returning but am praying very hard that it doesn't!!

Question for you mama's! I am EBFing my almost 5 month old daughter.

I had PP bleeding for 6 weeks and then it stopped for almost 2 weeks and then I bled again for one week.

Edit to add: It was a few days after I started taking BC that I bled but my Dr. said because it was a progesterone only pill it won't make me bleed. I'm off BC now.

So... Was that a period?
Also, I haven't had any bleeding since then.

I got my FPPAF at 30 months postpartum.
