Do you let your kids eat snow?

I let my kids go at it. They'll live.

I think its supremely annoying when moms are hovering over kids and directing each movement. My kids gnaw on all sorts of things outside, LOL. one of them would eat huge mouthfuls of dirt for awhile. I let them crawl thru things, roll around, splash, bury themselves and definitely eat snow! The only thing I stop is if they are hurting others, like throwing rocks or sands, or if they get crazy putting things in their hair. My oldest has super thick red hair and it is just too nasty to let her have free reign with stuff in that hair

Well, since there's really no way to stop them short of staying inside all winter, yes.

We make snow ice cream as well, when there's enough snow (which was 2 years ago.)

I don't really have a choice in the matter. I guess I could watch them like a hawk and then run out in my slippers and scrape it out of their mouths with a tea towel... But who wants to do that? It's not like it's got fluoride in it, for Pete's sake!

as long as it's not the first snow of the season. That one is supposed to not be eaten. but after that... sure.

I would, my kids have not yet been to the snow, but when we do take them up to the mountains, i will let them have at the snow. As a kid when we'd drive up to the snow, it was great and a lot of fun.
