BlackBerry 10 BABY!

We live in the home of RIM, now BlackBerry, so granted we are all VERY excited about the launch of BB10.

Our 6 year old is home today and watching the launch live in his Playbook, yes both our kids have their own PlayBooks, he's so excited for the new OS it's crazy.

OMG it seriously looks KILLER! The Hub, the Camera, the 70,000 new Apps. I so want the new Q10.

Any other BlackBerry fans out there??

It's a great day for our little city, RIM is set to make a comeback like a Phoenix rising from the ashes. RIM is sponsoring a huge party tonight in our city core with free skating and food as a way to say thank you, the kids are so excited. They really are a great company VERY supportive of the community.

It is killer. Seriously all the features are amazing. The Camera is TDF awesome, the apps are crazy, they had HUGE developer app weekends and managed to get 70,000+ apps.

Re: BlackBerry 10 BABY!

I live just outside of that city and I really hope this turns things around for RIM. I'm looking for a job, and want the local economy to do well.

ETA: Despite being a fan of all things apple, I will definitely take a look at the BB 10 when I'm eligible to upgrade my phone.

I guess we are neighbors. :wave2:

I am sure it will boost it some but honestly they haven't been quite as hard off as the news would have you think. I find the news LOVES to rag on RIM and spell doom and gloom when they can but they hire a TON of new people every week. Certain areas in the company were harder hit than others.

The new car production will probably make more jobs.

Hello, Neighbour :wave2: We just moved to the area in November, so all I know is what the media says (which has been pretty bleak this year.) I'd forgotten about the new car line (Lexus?).

I used a bb for a long time before they fell too far behind. I'm on a Motorola Droid now but I'm certainly open minded about what Rim has come up with...
