Re: S/O Do you worry about lead/chemicals in cheap pocket diapers?
Yes, it does concern me! Chinese regulations are basically non-existent and these diapers are not tested. I will gladly pay for diapers that have been thoroughly tested

I don't buy them or encourage them, and the lack of testing is a major reason why. I don't trust black market items, period. Anything sold through illegal channels raises red flags in my mind as regards safety.

Absolutely. That's why I avoid cheap made in China diapers.

I don't own any....but really can the chemicals in them be any worse than disposables?

Re: S/O Do you worry about lead/chemicals in cheap pocket diapers?
I wonder how many made in America diapers are made using PUL sourced from China and other countries...

Most wahm's i know only use pul made in the USA. But any commercial companies still have to meet testing requirements no matter where they source their pul.

Re: S/O Do you worry about lead/chemicals in cheap pocket diapers?
Nope. I don't notice a stronger chemical "smell" in china made diapers that my other diapers (say Fuzzibunz that are also made in China) smelled like. I wash all new and used (of course) diapers as well as any clothing before it gets put on baby. Figured after washing it has to have less chemicals that a disposable...or riding around in a new car...or being exposed to fresh paint...or new carpet...or anything else in this world.
