FWIW, I just got a batch of 300 Alvas in a few days ago for a co-op and there was zero smell.

I would be concerned if I used them. But I am like that with anything made in china and try to avoid things that are.

Yes. It's the main reason that I do not buy cheap diapers from China.

I would be concerned with chemicals and also the conditions for the workers (children?) making them.

I am a little concerned but I'm not so trustworthy in our government to believe everything here is safe either. For example a lot of things that our government deems safe is illegal in europe.

^^ Yep, what she said. I thoroughly wash my diapers before using them. I avoid using disposables like the plague.
