I know that detaching the soaker on the BGE helps with dry time, but will it help with preventing those holes that BGE seem to get? Anyone have experience?
I don't find the dry time to be bad for our BGE, but I have been playing with the idea of detaching the soaker in the hopes that it might prevent the holes in the cotton I see many get. Ours have been/were in use for over a year and no holes yet. My DD is pl now so they are siting waiting for DS to fit in them so now would be a good time to detach the soaker if I am going to do it, I'm just nervous about it. Also, anyone detach the soaker and regret it at all? Thanks for your input

Re: Detaching the soaker on BGE
I detached them and don't regret it all. No bump on the diaper while on. Short dry time.

Re: Detaching the soaker on BGE
Some of mine are detached. SO much nicer for the smaller rise settings. I haven't noticed any difference in wear in the detached vs. attached (purchased at the same times). I HAVE noticed that some BGEs bought at certain times (I assume different batches of cotton) wear significantly faster than others though...

Re: Detaching the soaker on BGE
I don't know why this never occurred to me. The bump and not being able to spray in all the crevices was the reason I sold all mine. How exactly are y'all detaching? Just cutting them? Anyone got a pic?
