Re: How Long Did Your 8lber fit in NB Diapers?
we used them for about 10wks. at 10wks they still fit, but he needed more absorbancy. we used xs bg aios & a variety of WAHM fitteds. we also had some KL 0s & they worked well for a bit longer.
DS was 8.5lbs at birth. My babes are not chubby, but long & lean w/ tiny tushes

Re: How Long Did Your 8lber fit in NB Diapers?
my 9 lb, 1 oz baby fit in them until just shy of 2 months and he was a fast gainer. BUT he really outgrew the absorbency in them long before that.

My favs with this babe have been Sbish snapless minis & BSRB itty bittys. Without the snaps, they are still fitting my 15 lb 3m old. I just need a doubler in the sbish.

Re: How Long Did Your 8lber fit in NB Diapers?
Mine could have stayed in newborn by fit until about 4ish weeks, but we switched to OS by 2-3 weeks because of absorbency. Evene my one baby who was just over 6lbs at birth fit well into OS by 3 weeks. If am lucky enough to be blessed with a new baby to diaper someday I will skip the newborn diapers and buy a case of 7th generation nb sposies. Likely by the time would be done with that $40 box of diapers OS should fit fine and we will have time to adjust. Even if I wanted to do nb stage in cloth I would keep it minimal since they grow so fast.

Re: How Long Did Your 8lber fit in NB Diapers?
Pixie was 9 lbs 3 oz and used the normal DDU newborn for about 10 weeks (there's a regular newborn and tiny newborn/preemie size). She was a slow gainer due to latch issues but also started bigger than most average babies.

Re: How Long Did Your 8lber fit in NB Diapers?
We moved cross country & were living in an extended stay hotel when she was 4 weeks, & used disposables while in the hotel. But, she was about to outgrow her Osocozy Perfect Fit Prefolds in the length - I'm guessing we would've had 2-3 weeks left in those. The Rumparooz NB size covers still fit her on the last snap setting when we moved into our apt @ 10 weeks.

My son was born 8 lb 11oz and hit 9 by 4 days old. Then he grew especially fast, staying in the 85th percentile...
That's why I chose flats (GMD size small) for my newborn stash... And we had xs Thirsties and Imse Vimse Wool in newborn. The Thirsties fit till 10 weeks, if I did it again I'd use Thirsties Duo size 1. The Imse Vimse fit till 4 months but they have resized (for the better, they were big for a newborn). We still use the flats at 2 1/2, using the pad fold in my sig, in a Flip or Thirsties Duo size 2. Or a regular pad fold in gDiapers for day.

Re: How Long Did Your 8lber fit in NB Diapers?
My 8lb 9oz guy only wore nb diapers for maybe 2weeks. I had a few nb fitteds for early days. I did have nb pro-wraps that I laid prefolds in and those fit him longer (maybe a month) but he fit in small AIO's from the beginning. He was a fast grower and had a bit of a belly going from pretty early on. I think I put him in BG OS pockets pretty early so he and my oldest could wear the same dipes. When I had so much trouble with BG's I switched them both to GAD's, by then he was 4 months and in md.

I'm doing pf and covers to avoid this problem. Thirsties duo should last longer then a nb size

Re: How Long Did Your 8lber fit in NB Diapers?
My squish was 8lbs 3oz at birth and he's still fitting into most of his newborn diapers now at 7.5 weeks and 9lbs 10oz. He outgrew the absorbency of Grovias after about 4 weeks. Our orange edge GMD prefolds are still able to be snappied on (barely), and our nb RaR covers are still fitting well with room to grow. We will probably move into our yellow edge soon even though they are a little bulkier because the orange are getting hard to snappi on.
