Homemade laundry soap
I'm interested in making my own laundry soap-esp when my 5 gallon bucket of Charlie's runs out. I'm concerned about my diapers though. Most recipes use soap, washing soda and Borax. I know you should use soap on diapers, so this worries me. As well as the fact that Borax in large quantities isn't good for PLU covers. Any advice?

Re: Homemade laundry soap
I used that recipe for a while and I thought it was fine. I ended up switching to tide powder because we have really hard water and the homemade detergent was not getting the diapers clean enough. I have a friend who has been using it for over a year on PUL diapers with no issues and she loves it. I wouldn't worry about it, you aren't soaking your diapers in straight borax.
