How damaged do your pf get b4 you get rid of them?

I bought gmd reds probably about 3 yrs ago. I bought them off here and they were 2nds. I was not told they were 2nds but that is another story. Anyway I love these things and use them EVERYDAY!

The threading is still great. They are just starting to get linty and shredding on the edges and some of them the top layer seems to be seperating.

I bought another dz mds that will be coming this week but how long do you think these will last me. Should I just get another dz soon? DD will not be growing out of these and then dd2 will be in them in about a yr.

I don't have any prefolds that are getting bad yet, but I do have 4 brown GMD workhorse that have holes in them and layers just see through they are so worn, and we just keep using them. I think as long as they function, I will use them.

hat is what I was hinking. No holes yet but even if there were they would still work. I just do not want to buy more diapers for the next 3 yrs after I am done with the last couple of purchases. Wishful thinking.
