TTC after Mirena

Anyone have any experiences? I have my Mirena removed after 2 years on Wednesday. How long did it take for your body to get back to normal (cycle wise). Anyone get pregnant without having a period? I haven't had a cycle since Feb 2011, and feel very out of the loop now.

I'm planning on using some OPKs this time around, but have no idea when I should start using them.

I conceived on our very first try after the mirena. I had it taken out November 12. Had my first period November 18th. Started to TTC December 13th and conceived on Christmas.

I got pregnant about two weeks after mine was removed (the condom broke!), before my period ever returned.

I had mine taken out in Jan 2012 and had my first regular period in March 2012...we didn't start TTC til June 2012 and got pregnant the first "try." Baby is due in 2 weeks

It took me two and half years to conceive after having Mirena removed. It was a nightmare. I can't say enough about how awful Mirena is.

I got my pregnant my very first month after it was removed! No period other than the initial bleeding from it being removed. I actually made an appt with an OB who specialized in PCOS to find out why I hadn't had a period yet (I was on CD 70). Turns out I was 2 months along!!! Took us 2 years of actively trying for my daughter, and an oops for my son lol.... best surprise ever!!

Got mirena out July 31st. First period back Sept 9th. Found out I am pregnant end of Dec and due in sept

My mirena was a nightmare and I think the cause of my secondary infertility. I didn't get a real or full period back for over a year. They even tried medically inducing it with medication. Nothing. I lost 3 babies (one set of multiples) on the only two times I ovulated that first year and had faint bleeding so it was almost like a period. We didn't get a sticky bean until close to year 2 of trying (couple months short of two yrs) and right around that time I got 2 real periods then nothing the month I conceived. I thank god for the little blessing I'm pregnant with now but I will NEVER go on mirena again.

I had mine in for 5 years. It got lost, I nearly had to have surgery for them to find it but after the ultrasound the doctor tried one last time and painfully retrieve it. whew. Before mirena I was very fertile and conceived twice while using the pill correctly. That is why I am convinced the mirena had something to do with it. Not trying to be the party pooper but mirena wasn't so great for me.
