Daycare Diapers
I live in Tennessee and according to state health code, daycares are not allowed to use cloth diapers. Does anyone know why this is and are there other states with the same stupid regulations?

You made me curious, do I did a little browsing on the internet. I would ask to see a copy of the code. Many other people say they cd in tennessee and that it only applies to "sick child" centers and that there is a stipulation that they can't clean the diapers. Shouldn't be a problem if you are sending your own wet bag. However, I would probably look into other centers if it is important to you. They don't sound very supportive.

Re: Daycare Diapers
I'd ask for proof too or find a more cloth-diaper-friendly daycare. My daycare uses cloth!

Re: Daycare Diapers
in NH the rules are very difficult. We are going to a very new eco friendly daycare and she is trying very hard to follow all the rules (and not get closed). I needed to get a drs note for him to use them at daycare (actually diapers from a diaper service are easier to get away with so I think they are afraid on person wash routine). Then they had to individually wrap them, so they would put each diaper in a plastic bag until I got individual pul bags and then the individually wrapped diaper has to go into a trash can with a flip top lid. The last rule was that the whole diaper had to be changed everytime. So reusing a cover on a new prefold wasn't allowed (which stinks because we used GroVias and tri-folded prefolds in covers). She did give me a copy of it, I was helping her decider it.
