I have a friend on Facebook that works in a children's psychiatric hospital. She posted this really profane, cryptic status so I opened the comments because I'm nosy.

Long story short, her fb is full of statuses and comments from her co-workers making fun of the children they work with.

Examples:
- comparing "funny" things the children have said during outbursts
- saying the future is doomed because of these children
- saying that people who have psycho kids should stop reproducing
- comparing which worker has the craziest patients
- plotting how best to antagonize the kids for their amusement

I'm totally disgusted.

If you know where she works, I'd screen shot and send to the employer. Depending on how much they are saying about the patients they may be violating HIPPA. And the fact that they talk about ways to antagonize their patients is sick. As a parent, I wouldn't want that person near my child.

My computer will be set up and internet installed today. I plan on taking a lot of screenshots and figuring out what hospital she works at, or at least trying to.

They never name names, they seem to have nicknames for the children ("blob girl," "empty face," "noneck") and it doesn't say anywhere WHICH hospital they work at. So I don't think that's a HIPPA violation, I'm not sure.

Even so, is be mortified as an employer if I found out my employees were acting like that. They represent the company, and fb is a very public forum.

How awful. People are sick. They are the ones who should be locked in a psyche ward for behaving that way. I worked in psyche and know how hard it is, but NEVER thought to make fun or emotionally torment my patients. I even got stabbed with a fork by a patient and never even got upset. It is what it is in that field.

I'm shocked at how MANY there are. I count.. 7 co-workers talking like this on one status thread alone.

Several commenters have location visible to the public (my friend still lists our hometown) so it should be very easy to figure out where they work once I can get my Google-Fu on.
