Looking for Recs for a SSC larger than the Ergo

Boba or something that can be customized with longer straps for DH, like Two Mama Designs, Olives and Applesauce, Tula might do it as well.

I use the Boba 3G and my ds2 didn't want to go on the back for the longest time, so I wore him on my front until he was just before 2 years of age, and he was about 30 lbs at that point. The Boba, when adjusted correctly, didn't hurt my back and was very comfy.

Thanks! The Boba is looking great, but where/how do I get longer straps? I don't see anything on their site.

You wont' be able to on Boba sites, but other carrier makers are customizable, so when you order one usually there is an option of extra long straps.

Okay, thanks. I'm going to wait and try stuff on locally, the Boba specs on their site say it's smaller than the Ergo.

I agree with trying things on locally.

But, I had the ergo, and the boba. The Boba is longer in the straps than the ergo. I loaned both of them to a friend who needed the long straps, and the ergo didn't go around her at all, but the Boba did.

However, your husband is almost a foot taller than she is, so I bet there's a big difference there.

yeah, we have a waist extender for the Ergo, the issue is the shoulder straps.

Whether you purchase locally or online, I recommend you seek out Olives and Applesauce. It may be a solution for your tall husband.
