Hubby has a 2012 Civic, we currently have a RA Classic RF (DD2, 10mo, 18 pounds), a Harmony backless (DS, almost 5yo, 45 pounds), & a Graco FF (DD1, 3yo, 35 pounds).
The Graco is expiring this summer & I really hate that my almost 5yo is already in a backless when the recommendation is harnessed until 8. We only use this car on the weekends, but that is normally our longest trip of the week (25 miles each way to church). With tax refund I want to replace DD1 & DS's seats. Any recommendations for affordable & NARROW harnessed seats? Thanks so much!

You can get Radian r100's for $165 currently on Amazon & Albeebaby. Those are as narrow as you can get.

Re: Another 3 Across Post :)
Radian, secure kid,and harmony defender are all pretty narrow. You'd just have to play with how things puzzle. But I am curious to know where you heard harness to 8? I've heard a seat until 8 is the new law in a lot of places but that isn't a harnessed seat. I plan to allow my soon to be 5 yo to be in a hbb once he outgrows the height on his current seat in the backup cars. He's mature and sits still so I don't think it will be an issue. He'll probably be closer to 5 1/2 to 6 when that actually happens.

Re: Another 3 Across Post :)
Maestro is also pretty narrow. SecureKid is almost the same seat with 65 pound weight limit.

Re: Another 3 Across Post :)
I LOVE my maestro (it's a back up with grandma) but I wouldn't get one for a kid who's already 45lbs because it only goes to 50. But it might be a good option for your 3 yo.

Do you have a Buy Buy Baby? They have Radians in store. Your best bet is probably to go and try things out.
