Do they seem like they'll hold up pretty well to all of the washing?

Re: My Flip Daytime insert review with pics
So far so good. I examine each of the edges after every wash and dry and all the edges look good. No loose threads or fraying.

Re: My Flip Daytime insert review with pics
Huh. I am really surprised to hear that. They said it was the same material as the Flip organic prefold (now called the night insert), which is the same exact inner of a BGE. Honestly hearing that, I might be tempted to just return ours if other people say the same thing. Are you sure they don't just feel much stretchier because they are only one layer vs lots of layers sewn together and silkier because they are new?

Re: My Flip Daytime insert review with pics
Hmm yes I would describe it more like t shirt material. I don't know how thick though. It's hard to describe. It seems like it would withstand a lot of washing to me. When I get one out of the dryer I will examine it and see if I can come up with some better adjectives.

Re: My Flip Daytime insert review with pics
FernHollow no to me the new insert and the BGE are very different. The BGE doesn't feel slick or stretchy to me. I'll check them out again when they're out of the wash.

Re: My Flip Daytime insert review with pics
Hmm. Well I suppose I can always exchange them for BGEs I guess. I was really torn between the 2 choices, now I'm wishing I'd stuck with my first choice and not ordered something new. Ugh. Mine are due here on Thursday, I guess I'll just decide when they arrive after hearing more reviews. I'm a little concerned that these are so thin that they are going to shift around in Flips with an active toddler, which would really not work for us. My DH is going to be so annoyed with me because he was encouraging me to just stick with BGEs

Re: My Flip Daytime insert review with pics
I pulled one out of the dryer in between preps and I would definitely say they are comparable to a well made quality t shirt. THey are actually thick. I can't see my hand behind them or anything like that. But they are not thick like bulky. They also feel less smooth to me now.
I am looking forward to others reviews of them because all these impressions can be totally subjective.

Re: My Flip Daytime insert review with pics
No problem!
So they have now been washed and dried 7 times and are a little smaller but not much. The short way is still around 14.5 and the long way is a little over 16 inches. I folded in half and then used that as a prefold with folding down the back for wings and snappied it on. OH MY GOODNESS TRIM TRIM TRIM. I cannot believe how trim it is. I tried to get a picture to show you guys. So I take it back that you cannot wrap it on baby. I was able to use a snappi and althouhgh it wasn't as easy as using a snappi on a pf or birdseye it did work. Easier than flannel for sure. She is HARD to get pics of) ![]() And under skin tight leggings: Sorry this pic is blurry, these are just phone pics.
